You Can Now Blow a Whistle
This April, we introduced a whistleblowing function for our employees, which was integrated into the recently implemented HR system. Since all our consultants work onsite on contract-based assignments from end clients, our legal team has taken all steps to put the whistleblowing feature in place and establish even stronger communication channels with us as their Employer-of-Record (EOR).
Based on the recent EU Directive, incorporating an internal whistleblowing reporting system is mandatory for ensuring legal compliance and protecting employee rights. It is necessary for uncovering any wrongdoings in the workplace (discrimination, health & safety violations, harassment or abuse, corruption, etc.).
Any organization where the number of employees exceeds 50 is expected to introduce the system in their workplace and deal with any alarming reports in a prompt manner. Besides compliance, accessibility to whistleblowing allows improving employee morale, strengthening brand reputation and, consequentially, positively impact corporate culture.
We have recently set up a new internal system, Hailey HR, that integrates an employee database, payroll, performance reports, support with onboarding, and many other functions, including whistleblowing. This will help our consultants feel safe and protected, wherever they are.
